Boletín de la Sociedad Geológica del Perú, v.111, 2016, pp. 54-58.
[ENG] In this paper a characterization of the final episode of activity occurred in the complex movement (rotational landslide-flow) area of Ranraccasa, Yaurisque district in the Cusco region is presented, which affected agricultural land, the road leading to the district of Paruro; and it represents a potential danger to people and homes that sit in their area of influence. The process has identified historical background of intermittent activity over 100 years; where the geological substrate and the presence of groundwater are apparently the main factor of instability of the slope. For evaluation, aerial photos of the area and satellite images of recent years were used in the first instance to determine the limits and shifts occurring in the body of the complex movement. Subsequently these satellite images were treated in software to determine the magnitude of the movements shown in the latter reactivation.
