Hidrología de la cuenca del río Virú

Abstract

Una comparación cuantitativa entre la lluvia caída en la cuenca alta del río Virú, arriba de Huacapongo, y las descargas del río abajo en un período de dos años (dic. 1946 a nov. 1948), demostró que aproximadamente el 56% de la precipitación total corresponde a pérdida por evapotranspiración e infiltración y 44 % a escorrentía.

A quantitative comparison between the rainfall in the Virú basin above the Huacapongo river-gage and the yearly discharge of the river over a two year period (Dec. 1946 - Nov. 1948), has shown that aproximately 56% of the total precipitation is lost through evapotranspiration and percolation and 44% in runoff.
